The specialist in keys, wedges, and shims

What are Spies?

A wedge – also known as a wedge, wedge or keil – is a powerful and simple striking tool often used in construction and assembly. Steel wedges and steel wedges are especially popular because of their strength and durability. The operation of a wedge is based on the law of the inclined plane: the sharper the angle, the more force can be applied with relatively little effort.

Keyes usually have an elongated, triangular shape with a flat bottom, a sloping top and a blunt back. Thanks to the pointed tip, little space is needed to hammer the wedge between anything. This makes them ideal for creating a starting hole in places where other tools won’t fit between them.

Steel wedges and steel wedges are often used to secure parts, gently push materials apart, or to clamp something temporarily. They are indispensable when setting up machines, assembling heavy parts and loosening stuck connections.

What are wedges used for?

A wedge, wedge, chock or keil can be used for a variety of applications, namely:

  • Materials to split;
  • Setting machinery or structures;
  • Flange spread;
  • Disassembly and Assembly Work;
  • Setting and straightening work prior to welding.

A wedge with too obtuse an angle can slip if it comes under too much pressure. Euronique’s wedges are therefore cut at the correct, safe angle. In addition, the wedges are deburred for safe use.
Furthermore, Euronique’s steel wedges are weldable.
