What is an adjusting wedge?
An adjusting wedge, also known as a wedge with a large head, uses the principle of the inclined plane to exert a greater force. The concept is based on the principle that the sharper the angle of the wedge, the greater the force that can be applied. A wedge consists of a blunt side, a flat side, and an inclined side. By striking the blunt side, force is exerted on the wedge. Enlarging the head makes it easier to strike the wedge with more force. That is why Euronique also produces adjusting wedges. In addition, an adjusting wedge offers the advantage that the wedge can be removed more easily after use.
Adjusting wedges have a different production method than ordinary wedges
The striking adjusting wedges have a unique shape compared to ordinary wedges without a striking head. Because of this special shape, sawing is not an option for manufacturing striking adjusting wedges. Euronique chooses to forge them, which leads to increased hardness and a longer lifespan of the adjusting wedges.
Various sizes of forged adjusting wedges
Euronique supplies various sizes of adjusting wedges. The dimensions differ in length, width and height. The tip of the wedge is approximately 2-4 mm. The wedge rises at a safe angle to the head of the wedge. You can send your requests to: info@euronique.nl.
